These cartons are perfect for storing milk and all dairy produce as well as soups, fruit, vegetable purees and many other food items. They may provide storage for many non-food items too. They will tolerate light micro waving and once frozen, can have the 'gable tops' folded flat for optimum freezer storage, giving virtually zero wasted space.
They are waterproof, leak proof, freezer compatible and are supplied ready for filling and labelling. They are manufactured in our factory in Kent and are sealed by means of a plastic closure that slides across the top - the clips are supplied with every pack and are easily fitted by hand.
These pure white 'Dairyboard' 500ml cartons complete with plastic closures, supplied in packs of 100. Since the 'Dairyboard' is opaque it minimises product deterioration and fading caused by UV light.
For labelling, we suggest the freezer-grade variety be used to complete your final packaging presentation.
Please note that the clip is designed to act as a simple closure and does not affect an absolute seal. It does however offer an effective way of re-closing the carton when in use.
The manufacturing process for paperboard cartons uses minimum raw material and energy, creating less waste. Hoppers are responsibly and sustainable sourced and where facilities exist, can be also be recycled.
The cartons are designed for milk, water, alcoholic drinks up to a maximum of 18% ethanol (beers, wines and sherry but not spirits) - and any similar food products. They are not designed to contain liquids that are in any way 'searching' - i.e. any aggressive chemicals or liquids that contain even small amounts of products such as glycols, essential oils, other alcohols, ketones, esters, oils, other solvents etc.
The fine plasticised film on the inside of the carton is basically designed for holding foodstuffs for a short period (say 10 days or so) and it cannot withstand any product that will permeate its waterproof barrier: this is why it is so important to perform trials with any product that falls outside of the normal spectrum.
