This animal rennet is the original material that has been successfully used by cheesemakers for thousands of years. It is extracted from the stomach of the calf and is available in a concentrated form (150IMCU/ml). It is GM free and is suitable for the production of all types of cheeses.
The rennet is available in a both 50ml and 100ml dropper bottle and 500ml and 1 Litre heavy duty bottle.
This rennet should be added at a rate of 4 drops per gallon (4.5 litres) of milk to produce an excellent soft cheese. It may also be pre-diluted with a little cold boiled water to assist when dosing smaller quantities. For harder cheeses more rennet will be required.

It may also be used for making junket, although it will need to be diluted first because of its high strength. The shelf life of the rennet is a full 6 months when stored in a normal fridge.
Please note - this rennet isn't suitable for vegetarians. Please use our vegetarian rennet or rennet powder instead.
